Dr. Thomas Turner, 1 of only 15 Master’s of Whisky in the world, will be taking over the Fox Cigar Bar Scottsdale location for an evening of education and tasting.
Limited to only 50 seats, Dr. Turner will guide this experience towards the individuals own personal discovery and understanding of the spirit and Mcallan line.
To fully appreciate The Macallan, we must understand the contributing influences of Scotland, Spain and North America, and of their respective natural raw materials, together with the methods and the craftsmanship, that combine to give such outstanding quality and distinctive character. We will learn why only some 16% of the spirit, collected from the spirit stills at an exceptionally slow rate of boil, is filled into casks for maturing into The Macallan.
Your flight for the evening will include the Director’s Edition, 15 Fine Oak, 17 Fine Oak, 12 Sherry Oak and 18 Sherry Oak (plus a cigar for pairing)for just $24.99.
The evening is also sponsored in part with Perdomo Cigars: Upon arrival you will get to select a cigar used for pairing from the Habano line. This includes your option of a Connecticut, Maduro or Sun Grown cigar.
After The Macallan presentation Dean Laffey, a certified tobacconist, and representative from Perdomo Cigars will go over the different flavor profiles you should have experienced during the class. The eduction will continue as he goes over the process that sets Perdomo apart, the differences in tobaccos and how each one plays a role in the blending process from one of the best cigar companies in the industry.
The Macallan Experience By Dr. Thomas Turner will begin at 7:00 PM at our Scottsdale location. While we are taking over a bigger venue spots will be limited to just 50 people.
